I Want To Come! What Should I Expect?

When should I arrive? It probably is best to arrive at least 15 minutes early. That will allow you plenty of time to get settled before the service begins.

What If I’m a little late? Don’t worry about it! Just come on in! The ushers will be there to help you find a seat if you’re a few minutes late.

How long will the service last? The service will last about an hour.

How should I dress? Many people like to dress nicely for worship out of respect and reverence to God. Common dress at Christus ranges from casual (nice jeans and collared shirt) to business casual to shirt and tie, though people wear all different kinds of clothing.

What is the service like? It will progress through a series of carefully selected Bible readings and fitting hymns. Both the readings and the hymns will speak to the need that we have for a Savior and what that Savior did for us.

I have kids, what should I do with them? At Christus we believe that it is important for a child to learn to participate in worship, even at an early age. At the same time, we know that this is sometimes challenging for both children and parents. If your child cries, no problem! We believe that those cries are the cries coming from our church's future! However, if you feel the need to take your child out of church, people typically stand in the gathering area outside of the church proper.
